History
Dear Friend,

My wife and I grew up in East Texas. Sheila and I married very young and were both from troubled backgrounds. The best thing to ever happen to us was when we gave ours hearts to Jesus Christ. We praise Him that we have now been married for over 40 years.

In the fall of 1998 we felt led by God to leave a great church in Mesquite, TX. to come back home to East Texas. The church in Mesquite reached out to all colors and backgrounds and we felt called to plant a work here that would do the same. In January of 1999 Dr. Clifton Cathcart, his wife Jan, Sheila and I started a Bible Study. As the work grew we saw a need for our own property and building. On July 31, 2000 we bought our current property and building. The property is 13 acres and the building is 26,000 sq. ft. God has been so good to us.

We are a strong Bible based church that is not part of a denomination. I was taught and believe the Bible to be the inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
